February, February, February ....

What is it about this month which makes me feel the urge to write? The cold? The snow? If that is it than the residents of Washington DC must be scribing a storm LOL I dunno what it is but there is that familiar itch ..... must write ... so let us hope it gets me back on track ....

Pondering -

I wonder if one can type up an entry and come back later in the day to add to it? We shall find out eh? As it is only 3:08am I am guessing that more will happen today - so we shall see if it is addable!

JR finished all his class Valentines tonight - he wrote ALL of the names himself and then signed JR (his whole name would not fit on the space provided on the Spiderman Valentines.) He put the heart sticker on each one and we added a lollipop - what good is a Valentine without candy??? He did manage to make it to bed earlier after our story, and I am hoping that reflects in a better day at school tomorrow ... one can only hope!

JR has the hardest time at school at the moment. I am told he is "BRILLIANT" and really demonstrates behavioral difficulties of children who are highly gifted academically and then disconnect in other ways. Today he "fell' nine times on the way from the door of the school to the car - NINE! What the heck! It makes his teacher mad because it disrupts the line of the other students and her complaint is LEGITIMATE! So, I asked him point blank - WHY did he fall nine times. He told me that gravity pulls one down towards the earth (it is what keeps us from floating away because it is constantly there) however when he is walking down the hill towards the pick-up area the gravity pulls more strongly on him (towards the bottom of the hill thereby encouraging his feet to run) he knows he is not supposed to run so he fights the increased gravitational pull which then causes him to "fall" down because its pull is too strong! WHAT??? He is 5 years old - and a young 5 at that! Of course, he is full of bunk and I let him know that I know that - but what kind of an excuse is that???? He should follow directions! SIGH
